US Markets Today: Subdued before German Poll

22 September 2017 (9:13 AM EDT)

Germans will be voting on Sunday in a federal election which will decide whether German Chancellor Angela Merkel will retain power for the next four years or not.

Also, the British PM Teresa May will give an important speech about Brexit later today.

U.S. markets are expected to remain subdued before these important European events. On local front, tech stocks are facing some selling pressure that has kept tech index Nasdaq range bound and is putting pressure on broader U.S. markets too.

Lower futures are indicating a negative opening in U.S. markets today. After that, major indexes are expected to trade within this week’s range or between their individual support and resistance levels.

Watch those levels and trade with the trend.

Good luck, enjoy the session!
