        Santosh, thanks for writing in.
I focus only on technical charts and news analysis that drive markets. Rest of the things I leave for tv experts:)
Very frankly, in current scenario, market data changes every day, and sometimes even during the day based on the news flow. What was call and put ratio today, might completely change tomorrow.
That is why I focus on the most important signals instead of going for too many intricate market factors and that works for me.

      Hi Santosh,
SBI short term trend and suggestion were sent to you by mail. Please post any other stock related query here on the site; I’ll try to reply.

Excellent Information given in the blog site.
    I really like it.
I’ am really enjoying the market action with your ‘great’ valuable analysis.
Yeah I am comfortably sitting on cash.

    I prefer only banking stocks.
So please comment on SBI v/s ICICI strength along with your Nifty analysis

Great work , keep it up.
You are doing a wonderful job.
I’ am forwarding the blog url to all my buddy’s in the financial market circle.

Santosh, Thank you for such encouraging response. (although “great” in inverted commas made me wonder if it means otherwise :-) ).
As you have suggested, I’ll try to include a few major stocks’ analysis as well.
In near future, I intend to convert this blog into a full website where readers will get latest news, charts, stock recommendations and information about investment schemes also.
In short, I don’t want readers to just come and read something. I want them to “gain” value form visiting this site; whether that values is a positive mind set about trading or some useful information to help them in their trades.

rayees: thank you so much for reading this site and expressing your views. As I had said in another reply, I will expand this site in near future with more information, including stock analysis and information about investment schemes. Thank you once again.

      dear sir,

Thank you for your earlier response, honestly I surprised when I get reply from you, since high profile people rarely give reply. Normally I just follow tips of Mr.Sudarshan Sukhani Bcz he is changing views on daily basis about stock, Even though once I lost heavily from his tips bcz i didnt follow his stoploss. After reading your views in this site i became your fan. thanks for sharing your knowlege with us.

      • Rayees says:

        sir,

what do you feel about ashok leyland?

        • Rayees says:

          Dear Sir,
As you know I am regular reader of your blog, I need to share my horrible trade expierence with you and I desperately need your valuable tips or suggestion such kind of trade. When expert gave SELL call, then I had short sold AshokLeyland 48,000shares in Futures(6Lots, exp.25Jan) at 20.90. For my tough luck, but only one day on 22nd Dec it shoots up more than 10%. Then I needed to pay deifference amount(-1,10,400), if I need to retain my open position, since it closed at 20.30. I had no money to pay that much. So next day 23Dec I covered my position at 20.60. So I lost Rs1,29,600. Kindly let me know sir, Is there any other safe trade in futures, even if stock price goes up when I short and I need not to pay difference/margin amount, so I can retain my open position.
best regards, waiting for your valuable comments.

          Rayees

            Rayees,
I am really sorry for your loss and I know there are many, many traders like you who follow “expert” advice and lose heavily in markets.
Please remember, if you want to make money in stock markets, you have to follow STRICT rules of markets. These “experts” give you only buy and sell calls but don’t tell you “how to safe-guard your trades”.
Ashok Leyland is signaling a fall but because of market fluctuations and news flow, you cannot be certain which level/ day it will start going down. To know this, you have to follow its intra -day trading pattern and then, when charts signal that its fall has started, then enter the trade with STRICT stop-loss.Those “expert” won’t tell you when to enter the trade and that can turn a winning trade into a huge loss; just what happened with you. If you are trading in Futures, you have to keep margin-money in your account. You can do this by trading smaller lots and keeping extra money for margin. Please remember, bigger lots may turn into bigger loss instead of bigger profits. You have to know what is your “risk appetite” (how much loss you can tolerate) before you decide the lot size for your trade.
I had started writing this column only to warn traders/ investors like you that what experts are telling; is MOST of the times false. Frankly speaking, most of them don’t know how markets behave. Stock markets behave on many cues, just “buy” or “sell” call in not enough to make a correct trade.
You can DEFINITELY MAKE MONEY in markets by intelligent money management, disciplined trading and by following strict trading rules.
I have been thinking about how to help readers like you to protect their money and earn from markets on a regular basis. This will be done with the help of a professional brokerage house whom I trust and trade with. I’ll soon do a survey about it and if enough readers show interest, I’ll take this scheme forward.
Thanks so much for showing faith in this site.
Please keep your money safe and do NOT go for bigger trades at this point of time. You can surely make money from markets, but not by throwing your money around.

  5. Rayees says:

    Dear Sir,
I really thankyou for your suggestion. I made big mistake in choosing lot size beliving that poor expert’s call will hit right away and AL stock will go down but its went in different direction. For your kind information, whenever I open net, very first thing I do is open your blog and see any new post from you, that much i connect with your views. Now my sincere request to you that any further delay you can start giving stock calls in this site for time being before you find reputated brokerage house. Bcz what I think is now we are in bear market and some stock prices will fall sharply. Atleast you can start give STOCK SELL CALL for time being, as we are in bear market hope so. Kindly provide me some SUZLON ENERGY stock tips here or by email, as I hope it will go down till 15-16 levels or even may be lower, if I am not wrong. I am eagerly waiting for your response.
    Thank for your encouraging views.

  7. Danny Dao says:

    Dear Sir,

All indicated that the market should have at least a 10 percent correction. But it keeps going up and then sideways. Can you give us a hint what is going on? And how should I trade? I am 100% cash. I got scared.

    Thanks.

    Danny

    • Administrator says:

Danny, If you really want my advice, then I’ll tell you NOT to trade for at least two days. In this kind of volatility, no matter what you do- going long or short- you are surely going to lose money. Keep your money safe. The current trading pattern is a trap. Don’t fall in to it.
Yes, the correction will surely come. But, make sure you don’t lose money till then. Here is a good way of doing this. I call it a “10% game.”
We all get tempted to enter markets “before” any trend starts. In this market, we will keep taking short positions and keep hitting our stop losses. We can make a choice of losing 100% of our amount and keep doing loss making trades, or we sacrifice 10% of futures profits and make a 90% winning trade.
For this, wait till the day markets finally signal the start of bearish trend. If you enter the markets the day AFTER the trend starts, you will most probably lose 10% of your “would- be-profits” but you’ll still reap 90% profits from the trend, without losing any money.
Just resist trading for a couple of days. This markets is extremely treacherous and will suck in all your money.

  8. I don’t even know how I ended up here, but I thought this post was good. I do not know who you are but certainly you’re going to a famous blogger if you are not already ;) Cheers!
