US Markets Today: Volatile; Fed, Google Fine Put Pressure

27 June 2017 (8:49 AM)

European markets are trading with quite low numbers and U.S. stock futures are also negative, indicating a lower opening for U.S. markets today.

Futures of tech index Nasdaq are nearly half a percentage point lower at the time of writing, as the European Union slapped record $2.7 billion fine on Google.

U.S. markets are also under pressure before the Fed chair Janet Yellen speaks later in the afternoon today.

Yesterday, U.S. markets had suffered a highly volatile session where major indexes lost their healthy gains and collapsed mid session, before staging slight recovery and ending flat.

Today, Nasdaq may influence the intra day trend. Dow Jones has been holding onto its strong range support of 21,400 so the index may continues to bounce around this level.

Expect a volatile and range bound session in U.S. markets today. Watch for support at lower levels and resistance at higher levels and trade with the trend within those levels.

Good luck, enjoy the session!
