Just before the closing bell in their overnight session, U.S. stock markets were jolted by President Trump’s tweet that talks about border wall funding have failed between him and Democrats.
U.S. stock markets quickly trimmed their gains after that and although major U.S. indexes survived by closing with green numbers, it was clear that U.S. stock future will trade negative when Asia session started after a few hours.
U.S. stock futures are indeed trading negative and have triggered a choppy, mixed and mostly negative session in world stock markets in this session. Major Asian stock markets are showing a mixed trend on negative and positive numbers. Indian stock markets are trading negative. U.S. and European stock futures are also trading negative at the time of writing.
Expect a choppy and highly volatile trend in world stock markets today. The trading pattern will remain under under pressure and be dominated by how U.S. stock futures trade. Bigger fall in those numbers will have a negative effect on global stocks.
